Mimi Little
Mimi Little lives on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and at Ft. Myers Beach in Southwest Florida. Working in acrylics and collage she has produced a series of paintings influenced by her life and travels. Her past series of paintings have included themes on Nantucket, Haiti, tobacco barns, beachcombers and the rivers and bays that surround her everyday life. Her latest series is being influenced by the clear light and color of southwest Florida. Mimi’s paintings are abstract in nature with vivid color and vigorous brush strokes.
Mimi has had solo exhibits in Nantucket, MA, Southern Maryland, Virginia and has juried into numerous group shows. She is affiliated with the Art Leagues of Alexandria, Virginia and Bonita Springs, Florida and Annmarie Garden in Solomons, Maryland. Outside of the art world she has been active on the boards of The American Chestnut Land Trust, Calvert County Environmental Commission in Maryland and Aid to Artisans based in Hartford, CT.
